As the days, weeks, months, and even years go on the economy in the US is becoming weaker and weaker. Some people actually have to start purchasing the majority of their fruits and vegetables from local Farmer Markets because they can just barely afford fruits and vegetables in the regular grocery stores. Most people have to opt out of buying those extra clothes, extra food, and just about anything extra that most americans typically purchase.

Jobs don’t pay enough hourly wise or salary wise, therefore making the average to lower than average household unable to afford even some necessities. Bills are piling up like water and the glass has looked half empty for far too long for this economy. Yes, those who are much wealthier than others have yet to see a true dent in their financial situation but eventually at some point in time it will be seen if this horrible economy path continues on the same path and doesn’t decide to take the detour. It is unfortunate that so many people are so greedy that an enormous amount of people must suffer due to a small piece of green paper. What is often sad but true, though one too many will not admit to it, so many people find a small green piece of paper to be more valuable than a human being.

“The Pee Test
Like a lot of folks in this state LA, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit. In order to get that paycheck.. I am required to pass a random urine test, which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don’t have to pass a urine test. Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass. Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Pass on if you agree.”

As the years go by there are many families who go without having health insurance, either because they can’t afford it or because their employer simply does not offer health insurance. According to a document located at The National Coalition on Health Care’s website about 40 percent of our population that isn’t insured comes from households that earn $50,000 or more. Also, they state that a growing number of middle-income families can’t afford health insurance payments when coverage is in fact offered by their employers. The National Coalition on Health Care clearly states that a total of 8.3 million children in 2005 were uninsured. They also state the number of children who were uninsured in 2005 increased around 400,000 that year.

What has brought this world down to the ground so far that our children and children in the future will not be able to be medically treated due to the high costs of health insurance? According to The National Coalition on Health Care a study showed that about 50 percent of uninsured children did not receive a regular checkup from a doctor in 2003, which is almost twice the rate of insured children.
